FAREWELL LETTER TO ALL OUR FRIENDS:
MAY 25TH, 2014
After more than a decade Don Corleone’s Pizza & Pub has reached its end. I am closing the restaurant on Tuesday May 27th, 2014 and while I am closing one chapter of my life and am looking forward to new ventures. I have loved my time with Don Corleone’s and I have had an awesome run. There are simply too many people to say thank you to, and so many incredible experiences to recount. I am grateful to all our staff, family and friends. You have made the experience, unforgettable.
For over a decade Don Corleone’s has been privileged to serve our community in unique ways and I have been blessed with the support of our community in return specially from Georgia Southern university and its students. Don Corleone’s created a community that brought strangers together, who became long lasting friends. We were the venue for celebrations large and small contributing in many ways to the greater good of the surrounding community through raising many dollars for charity and many contributions to local organizations. Friends were made here and lives were changed. Our lives became richer and fuller. So many good chefs came from Don Corlenone’s to go on and have their own restaurants.
Although an end of an era, it is also the beginning of a new one for me. There are many exciting opportunities in the works. I look forward to do something different, may be doing something in real estate and would like to spend more time in my other venture(s). For now I am looking forward to some quiet times with my family. It was a very tough decision for me to make to sell the restaurant and get out of it. Believe me, nobody was more upset than my own son Aaron. He kind of grew up in Don Corleone’s. I feel his pain along with all of my staffs.
I am eternally grateful to those that have graced our tables, supported our causes, and have made Don Corleone’s the institution that it has become. The staff at Don Corleone’s and I have enjoyed our time together with you over the past decade and will miss your company and friendship. I wish all of you the very best of luck in your future endeavors.
To all of our talented cooks, servers and drivers that have become a part of the Don Corleone’s family, and to our customers, our friends and our supporters...you have enhanced my life over the years and I want to say Thank You for the journey.
